The Exchange Club of Hanover will host a 20th Anniversary 9/11 Healing Field® to honor all those who tragically lost their lives in the terror attacks on September 11, 2001. The Healing Field® will consist of 3000 3ft x 5ft American flags on 8ft poles, each bearing the name of an individual who died that day.

The flags will be set-up on Friday morning, September 10th starting at 9 AM and will remain in place through Friday, September 17th at the West Manheim Elementary School, 2000 Baltimore Pike, Hanover, PA.

While the flags are up, special presentations will be made as follows:
September 10th – 6 PM: Opening ceremony with presentations by US Congressman Lloyd Smucker & a Twin Towers Nurse who served at ground Zero after the attacks
September 11th – 8 AM: Ceremony with reading of the names of those tragically lost on 9/11/ 2001
12 PM: Arrival of Motorcycle Procession from Battlefield Harley led by God Bless America Motorcycle Color Guard
1 PM: Presentation by individual who worked the World Trade Center Cleanup
2 PM: Entertainment
September 12th – 10 AM: Presentation on the History of the Flag plus a Flag Retirement Ceremony
1 PM: Entertainment
4 PM: Presentation by a survivor of Tower Two at the World Trade Center in New York
5:30 PM: Special ceremony to recognize local military personnel who lost their lives in the war against terror
September 17th – 6 PM: Event closing ceremony

The event is free to the public; however, individual flags can be sponsored and belong to the sponsor at the end of the event on September 18th
Special Notes: Seating is limited so bring your own chair.
Public Parking will be at the South Hanover Walmart Supercenter Parking Lot (Garden Center end) at 1881 Baltimore Pike, Hanover, PA.
Shuttle bus service will be provided every 15 minutes.
Proceeds from the event will go to local fire, police and rescue units and the Americanism, Community Service, Scholarship, and Prevention of Child Abuse Programs of the Exchange Club of Hanover.
