With the generous support of Mr. Louis and Mrs. Jody Appell, the Appell Arts Fellowship selects a recipient from among York College’s most promising graduates in Fine Art and Graphic Design to receive a yearlong artist residency in the downtown York Arts District. The selectee lives and works as an artist in residence at The Marketview Arts Center, receiving an apartment with utilities, studio space, parking and a monthly stipend. The purpose of the Appell Arts Fellowship is to support the growth and development of the York Arts District, and to support the recipient in their early career as they refine their artistic abilities and develop professional and networking skills. This exhibition celebrates the successful first four years of the Fellowship by highlighting the work of its first four recipients; Rita Whitney, Kree Wiede, Dillon Samuelson, and Anya Felch. The exhibition will run from April 1 – 22 in Gallery Hall on the 4th Floor of Marketview Arts.
