Join artists and art lovers across York County in an Art Drop to celebrate National Random Acts of Kindness Day!

An Art Drop is an event that encourages artists – whether professional or hobbyist – to create and drop a piece of art somewhere out in the world for people to find as a random act of kindness. You can provide clues on social media to help people find it (like an Easter egg hunt, but with ART!) The finder gets to keep the art to cheer their day.

The finder is encouraged to post a photo of their find on social media using the hashtags:
#YorkArtDrop
#WorldArtDropYork
#raisethecurtain2022

Participants are encouraged join the “World Art Drop: York” FB group to share the art you will be dropping, ask questions, and share clues and art finds!
There will be pieces to find all around York County!

If you need supplies to participate, you can pick up a kit at Hive Artspace (126 E King St) from 12-4pm on Sat Feb 5, Sun Feb 6, Sat Feb 12, Sun Feb 13; and at I-ron-ic . Supplies are limited, one kit per person, please.

Kits include:
-4×4″ stretched canvas
-2 paint brushes
-6 colors of acrylic paint
-instructions for dropping art
-flyer to include with dropped art
-weather-resistant ziplock bag for dropping art.

Open to all, no registration necessary.  Kits available as supplies last!
