Impact Creative Aging Pre-Conference

Presented by Cultural Alliance of York County and York College of PA at York College: DeMeester Recital Hall at Evelyn and Earle Wolf Hall

Join stARTSomething Arts in Education and Embracing Aging of the York County Community Foundation for this interactive, one-day workshop that focuses on the benefits and strategies to plan successful inter-generational arts programming led by national experts.

Teaching artist Margot Greenlee will return and “dance” us through the physical, social, and emotional benefits of age-appropriate movement. Jennie Smith-Peers, the executive director of the award winning community arts agency, Elders Share the Arts, in New York, will introduce us to intergenerational arts programming. Jennie will sensitize us to building generational awareness. She and Margot will help understand the necessary components to design, plan and prepare a welcoming intergen arts program. As always, the pre-conference will be interactive – come prepared to participate, learn and have fun; you will leave refreshed and energized with applicable skills and strategies to engage intergenerational audiences.
