In a rut? Looking to practice your sketching skills? Want to learn how to sketch and draw and not sure where to begin? Start here!
Monday August 1 and Tuesday August 2, 9:30 am -4:00 pm
Instructor: Van Pafchek
Explore nature journaling and illustration and sketching by drawing from a collection of natural history specimens. What? Yes! Preserved insects, flowers, bones, feathers, seed pods, minerals, fossils and more! Bring in any natural objects you might have to draw. Find beauty all around you!
This class will reinforce that inspiration is everywhere! It will teach you how to observe and draw from different angels with accuracy and confidence. It will also reinforce or introduce you to artistic journaling and how important it is to improve our skill.
As artist we sometimes get into ruts when it comes to subject matter. This workshop will give you an opportunity to potentially draw on new subject matter and potentially reignite a journaling practice!
Can’t draw but would like to try? It’s a skill that can be learned. But it takes practice. Everyone needs to start somewhere. We will spend two days practicing and learning.
