Waterworks Art Project: Plein Air Picnic

Waterworks Art Project: Plein Air Picnic

Presented by Creative York at Lake Williams Parking Area and Boat Launch

“Plein air painting” is a phrase borrowed from the French.  It means “open air” and is used to describe the act of painting outdoors.  Thanks to the sponsorship of our friends at York Water Co., we will be hosting a late afternoon Plein Air Picnic on Wednesday, August 17th at Lake Williams!  Artists will paint outdoor scenes at the lake, then the artwork will be displayed for the public at York Water Co.’s corporate building, with an opening reception September 22.  Light refreshments are included, but artists must provide their own supplies.  All mediums are fine!  This program is FREE, registration is required.  First come, first serve!
Rain date: August 31, 3-7pm.
The Waterworks Art Project, sponsored by York Water Co. and Wilmington Trust, is a collaboration between York Water Company and Creative York to celebrate York Water Company’s 200 year anniversary in a creative, engaging, community-oriented way.
