Join the Cultural Alliance of York County for COUNTERCULTURE, a first-ever collaboration between the York Symphony Orchestra and the audio/visual duo of VJCA and DJ Evolution known as Aortic Valve as they explore the sights and sounds of auteur cinema of the 60’s and 70’s.

Through the artistic union of sight and sound, Aortic Valve combines an improvisational mix of music and video to produce a simultaneous stream of stimulation. TEMPO is the York Symphony Orchestra’s new intimate concert experience combining the rich vibrant culture of downtown York. Using the inspiration of the work of experimental and ground-breaking auteur cinema directors such as Roman Polansky and John Houston, the symphonic and electronic will create the visual soundscape of this point in time.

Using the backdrop of Redeux Marketplace and counterculture-inspired tastes from Taste Test York, guests will be immersed in a live audio/visual dive into the COUNTERCULTURE movement. Retro cocktail reception will start at 6:30pm, live collaborative performance begins at 7pm.
