Rain in the forecast?   No worries.  The MAEscapes Native Plant sale is moving inside!  Penn State Extension 112 Pleasant Acres Rd, York PA.

You will still be able to shop for those hard-to-find natives, shop for herbs and vegetable plants, attend seminars, talk to experts and have a bite of lunch from the Busy Bee.   MAEscapes will be offering pesticide free pollinator friendly annuals for your containers. Bring the whole family – there will be activities for children.

MAEscapes 21st Annual Native Plant Sale

Don’t miss the fun!  Join MAEscapes and the Penn State Master Gardeners as we celebrate our 21st annual Native Plant Sale on Saturday May 13th at the York County Annex, 112 Pleasant Acres Rd, York, PA 17402.  The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Plant growers from around the region will offer a large selection of native plants for sale including trees and shrubs suited for our area and many hard-to-find plants.  Heirloom vegetable seedlings will be offered for sale by The Horn Farm Center and The Mason Dixon Unit of the Herb Society of America will have herb plants available.  Master Gardeners and MAEscapes experts will be on hand to answer your gardening questions and help you decide on the best plants for your needs.  New this year will be a delicious breakfast and lunch items from The Busy Bee.  Music will be provided by Indian Summer Jars.

Free seminars:  8:00 a.m. “Our Favorite Things”;  9:00 a.m. “Natural Landscape Design”; 10:00 a.m. “Plants to Attract Bees & Butterflies “;  11:00 a.m. “Landscaping for Birds”.

New this year,  10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  “Kids Activities”.

Be sure to visit the various educational displays and shop for books, stepping stones and garden tools.  The event will be held rain or shine.
