Presented by York County History Center at York County Historical Society Museum

Red Lion’s “Hinkey” Haines: One of a Kind

Join Jim Loyer, former owner of Loyer’s Pharmacy in Red Lion as he shares the remarkable story of Red Lion native Henry “Hinkey” Haines. Haines played both professional baseball and football in the 1920s and 30s, winning championships in both sports as a member of the New York Yankees and the New York (Football) Giants. A teammate of Babe Ruth, and a nationally known football star, Haines enjoyed an amazing athletic career. Loyer will highlight Haines’ professional career and his Red Lion connections.
