DreamWrights Summer Camps

Presented by DreamWrights Center for Community Arts at DreamWrights Center for Community Arts

1. How Does Your Garden Groove?
This is not your typical garden-variety musical! Meet the musically talented vegetables growing in Freddy and Franny Farmer’s garden. The potatoes have “appeal,” leafy vegetables sing “Lettuce Entertain You,” and corn and peas beg “Please Don’t Put Us in a Can-Can!” These lively veggies will sing and dance their way into everyone’s hearts.
2. Intuitive Art + Experimental Painting
Campers will spend the morning learning basic drawing and painting techniques which will then be used to explore students’ inner creative style. Through this wide variety of artistic styles, students will express themselves in ways they may not have explored before. This experimental class will include a focus on each individual camper.
3. Devised Theatre Camp
Kick off your 2017 summer with this highly creative, collaborative camp. In one week, campers will create an entirely original performance based on their own interests and skills. This camp will cover basic theatrics and improvisation. Campers will perform their play for family and friends in the final hour on Friday.
