One of Shakespeare’s greatest masterpieces, ​Antony and Cleopatra, storms The Barn stage this fall. Featuring Queen Cleopatra of Egypt, one of the world’s most iconic characters from both history and literature, wrangling with her lover, Mark Antony. As these two Titans quip back and forth in their lover’s quarrels, the world’s mightiest empire takes aim at their indulgent and luxurious Egypt. What follows is some of The Bard’s finest storytelling; his daring verse fused with epic battles, all accentuated by Cleopatra’s ultimate plan to best her enemies.
Two days of open auditions are set for this large-scale Shakespearean production: Monday, August 14, and Tuesday August 15. August 14 will be for individuals interested in auditioning for the title roles, while August 15 will focus on other 23 actors needed. Antony and Cleopatra​ will run ​Sept. 29-30 & Oct. 6-8, Fridays and Saturdays 7pm, and Sunday at 2pm​. All performances occur at The Barn at Tall Fir Acres, 2035 Tall Fir Drive, Dover, PA 17315.
