The QuickStart Guitar program is an interactive guitar class perfect for the HOME SCHOOL community. It is a new kind of guitar class–one that emphasizes POPULAR MUSIC as well as its history as the source material.  Here we will be developing basic guitar and musical skills in a natural, contemporary, and FUN way!  Some of the subjects we will cover include: basic technique, open chording, “groove”, basic rhythms, “The Blues” (form and application), strumming, “broken” chording, melody and melodic playing, reading tablature, power chords, song form, songwriting, developing a chord vocabulary, survey of musical styles, etc!  In addition, ensemble playing and learning is a must at all levels of QuickStart Guitar–“we learn to play by playing together”.  End of semester performances will show case student progress.
