Visit the Bonham House as part of your Light Up York festivities and meld Christmas traditions of the past, with the present.
Start the Holiday Season with the York County History Center, as the Bonham House will be open for Light Up York on Saturday December 2 from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tour the late 1800s home of the Bonham family while costumed interpreters share the story of the Bonham family. From 2:00-5:00, living historian Myra Reichart will explore Victorian Christmas holiday traditions. Enjoy period music from 6:00-8:00 performed by the York Area Superbowz, a performing group of violinists comprised of students from around York County ages 6-18. Throughout the day, families can make a Victorian scrap art ornament, nibble on popular cookies of the day, and play a parlor game or two.
