York College Community Orchestra

The York College Community Orchestra is a full symphonic orchestra. The group includes music majors, non-music majors, and musicians from York and the surrounding area. This program will feature both major symphonic works and lighter classics.

The concert will include music of Rossini, Beethoven, Bernstein, and Mendelssohn and each piece or composer is connected to a significant anniversary. In addition, the York College Orchestra will feature the winner of the first annual YCP/YCPrep Concerto Competition, Qi Li who will play the first movement of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in C Major.
