Gallery @227 is an exhibit space that provides the opportunity for local artists to host solo shows for a month or two.  We have had a few shows where two artists worked together to share both of their work as well.  The gallery is in the main hall of the Codorus & Company Building at 227 W Market Street in downtown York, PA.  We are right along the west side of the Codorus Creek on the north side of Market Street, and our building is set back off the road, so it often goes unnoticed.  We provide artists with the space which offers a French hanging system (rails/rods/hangers) and gallery lighting.  If the artist wishes to do all the work of hanging, advertising, and hosting the opening reception, Gallery @227 does not charge any commission on art sold.  Our tenants honestly just enjoy having something new and beautiful to look at every month or so.
