Gusa By Victoria is delighted to offer it’s community the innaugural screening of their very first “Free Movies Under The Stars.”

Gusa By Victoria is delighted to offer it’s community the innaugural screening of their very first “Free Movies Under The Stars.” It is our mission to educate and share talent from the African continent through fashion and all forms of art. Film, a visual form of art, is the latest service we are commited to bring to the community we call home. My heritage informs everything that you will find within our walls. The african continent has a lot to share. Our talent is demonstrated in every aspect of our lives. The universal truth is that we are all one, and yet different. Our unique cultural expirences is what makes our lives that much richer. A common thread that binds all of humanity in love, tradgeties, and all forms of social issues, serves as a constant reminder that there is only one race; the human race. Documentaries, comedies, and all other featured works from film directers in Africa is what we will share with the community. Join us to learn and expirence life outside your backyard and travel with us through the various screening to different parts of the world; even if you don’t have a passport.

WHAT: A movie by Debi Lang, award winning director and journalist

A freindly discussion will be held after the screening of the movie.

“A humble immigrant living the American dream leaves Columbia University to return home to Uganda to care for his brother who is dying of AIDS and realizes a devastating truth that changes the course of his life and the lives of the people in his village.” This movie was created by Debi Lang, a well known journalist and has worked with several well known news orginizations. A recipient of Edward R. Murrow Award for News Documentary. Ms. Lang is especially proud of this piece because she allowed the Ugandian people to tell their own story throught her lenses. Gusa By Victoria is extremly greatful to present to you the first of many stories from Africa. Light refreshments will be served.
