Join us for a fun FREE evening making costumes and participating in Spirit Day. Snacks and drinks provided. Presented by Wellspan Health, in Collaboration with Keystone Kidspace, Rainbow Rose Center, CURVE, Qmmunity, and Union Lutheran.
FREE: Kids and teens are invited to come make creative costumes at Keystone Kidspace, October 22, 6-9 PM.
This event is a multi-org collaboration to give youth (kids and teens) the opportunity to learn life skills such as sewing and crafting, and use the materials donated to the free closets that are unable to be given to the public (effectively keeping them out of the landfills). Our youth deserve the opportunity to enjoy Halloween even if they or their guardians cannot afford retail costumes, so we are bridging the gap to provide them the space, materials, help, and skills to make their own, all for *FREE.*
We will also be teaching youth about Spirit Day at this event, which is observed on the 20th of October this year. Spirit Day aims to create awareness for the bullying and harassment that the LGBTQ+ community faces, and youth will learn how to be advocates and courageous bystanders! Our event is hosted at Keystone Kidspace in York on October 22nd from 6-9 p.m. Come spend a fun evening with us!
There will be free snacks and drinks provided as well.
