Local artist Michael N. Walker will share the story of well-known York County artist William Falkler.
Following his service in World War II, Falkler taught, directed, and later owned the York Academy of Arts. Recognized for his paintings of York County landmarks, Falkler produced more than 3,000 paintings in his career. Having known Falkler on a personal basis, Walker will discuss Falkler’s artistic career. The presentation will include a display of original Falkler paintings. Special thanks to our Program partner CreativeYork.
The York County History Center’s newest Temporary Exhibit “Our Artists Our Stories” will be open for viewing following the program.
Prior to the Second Saturday talk be sure to visit a 100 piece showing of Falkler works from September 26 thru October 12 at the CreativeYork West Gallery. Click here for more information
