Vision Ophelia Chambliss
Martin Library and the Confronting Racism Coalition presents a series of workshops encouraging Teens to share their voices through the arts.
LuzMarerro Art Workshop on Vision
Vision – What you see and what you want to see, who you represent
Voice – What you want to say and need to say, in spaces you need to be heard
Value – What is important and an awareness of what is around you
The Confronting Racism Coalition is proud to partner with Martin Library to provide a series focused on engaging teens in York County by utilizing advocacy through various mediums.
Our goal is to inspire youth across our community to be engaged and work for a stronger York. A local community leader will lead each topic; sessions will be capped at 20 participants per session. Based on what they learn, students will work on a project that will be on display to the public during a celebration on the evening of November 15 in Martin Library.
York County teens between the ages of 13 and 18 may register for one or more sessions at no cost, thanks to a grant from the York County Community Fund’s Racial Equity Fund. Each session will run from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Register at confrontingracism@gmail.com.
