We invite you to join us on August 26 to celebrate the opening of “The Glass Ceiling,” curated by Ophelia Chambliss. Ms. Chambliss and Dr. Pamela Gunter-Smith, President of York College, will give brief remarks at 6:45 p.m. The exhibition opening—which coincides with Women’s Equality Day—kicks off the York College Center for Community Engagement’s 2021-22 program series, Understanding Gender, which will examine gender through a series of lenses.

“The Glass Ceiling” is a series of paintings, stories, testimonials, and spoken and written word pieces by women that addresses the issues of realizing, reaching, and breaking the glass ceiling to success in their careers and personal lives. The project is a communication and collaboration of women, sharing with other women, with the goal of making a way for young ladies and girls behind them. The exhibition will run through May 31, 2022.

Face masks are required, regardless of vaccination status, per York College of Pennsylvania policy.
