Using Focal Points in Abstract Painting with Andi Simpson
Learn how to communicate an idea or a resting place for the eye in your abstract work in this evening class!
Highly skilled abstract art is a thing of true beauty. It is not an easy thing to do, and it starts with intent. Creating a focal point is the main thing that the viewer will see or understand in your abstract painting. Not every design needs a focal point, but if you are trying to communicate an idea, or want a resting place for the eye, a focal point is key. Andi Simpson’s abstract art creations are always full of color, movement and character…and often on the side of buildings! Join her in this workshop as she reviews five of the common examples of creating focal points to enhance your abstract art. She will provide demonstrations and you will create samples. Registration is required. See the York Art Association website for more information.
