World War II Briefings program
The WWII Briefings will have two sessions per year. These sessions will take place close to VE Day and VJ Day in May & August. Each session will feature a panel of speakers who explore the war that made the modern world.
Our May Session will highlight connections to York’s Home Front
“Valor Unseen: The Journey and Triumphs of African American Veterans in World War II” with Tina Charles
“Not just a stick of gum! York’s GE plant and the Bazooka” with Steve Smith
“York’s Women on the Homefront: Their contributions and impact” with Domi Miller
