Enjoy a variety of family friendly activities that introduce the younger folks to history with a fun make and take, while allowing for history buffs or the mildly curious to dig as deep as they want to into the details.
While you’re here, try your hand at quill pen writing, create your own flag that represents you or your family, and learn about techniques used to secretly pass information. For a photo op with countless captions, have your picture taken in the pillory or in the face boards out front.
Activities include:
- Sign your name on the Articles with a quill pen
- Learn about the different flags that have represented our nation and make one to represent you or your family
- Explore ways messages were decoded to keep them out of the enemy’s hands
- Discover Colonial Currency by playing a board game
- Help guard Congress by joining the Continental Army and practice drills
Visit each station to find items for a scavenger hunt and ring the Court House bell when you’re finished.
