Second Saturday: The Tavern Cook

Richard Brigg’s Cookbook and Tavern Dining in Britain & America

April Thomas was a part of the “The Tavern Cook” by Marc Meltonville which explores the story of Robert Briggs, a cook who was in the heart of London during the 1780s. Her talk will highlight the book, it’s author who was in charge of the Hampton Court Palace kitchens for over 20 years and April’s involvement in this process. Ms. Thomas serves as the Director of the Historic Foodways Program for the Northern York County Historical & Preservation Society and Historic Dill’s Tavern. She has also been featured in an episode of “A Taste of History” with Chef Walter Staib. We are excited to welcome her to speak!
