Nature inspires me and keeps me painting. I paint wild and domestic animals because I find peace when I’m with my pets and outside watching wildlife.
I am primarily self-taught. I learned the basics in high school, but I “discovered” my niche accidentally in 1996. I was in Ecuador for a semester of college. Before I left, I tossed in some paints and paper in my suitcase just in case I had time to paint.

but I also found that I had packed watercolors and canvas paper. So I worked with what I had. I developed my own technique and style.
I continue to love working with watercolors on canvas!
