October 2018 I had an accident that burned my face, hands and inside of my throat. (Lit a furnace with a gas leak and it blew up in my face) Because of the gasp, my throat was burned and I could not sing for almost a year. I sang and wrote poetry my entire life but never did it publicly. I went 2 and a half months without eyebrows or eyelashes and thought my voice would never return. When my voice returned, I promised to do all that I could with this “Second Chance.” Year 2019, I started with Karaoke and Open Mics. I performed and held Open Mic nights at Penn Market, where I was a vendor. (Pre-Pandemic) I told my story at that months Story Slam, shared and performed my poetry all over central PA; and performed my poetry and sang at Rawchella 2020. (This year will be my third year performing at Rawchella 2022) Year 2021, I performed for First Friday outside of the Sarah Ellen Event Venue. I was in two different music videos, performed at Industry Night at the Cantina, (again in 2022), RELEASED A POETRY BOOK with my daughter, (Poetry in a Minor) and sang on stage for Light It Up York. I loss my voice again in December. Early 2022, having to take a break from singing to rest my voice, I dived into event planning, poetry writing to beats (rapping), and modeling. I was a runway model and dancer in April, and have been in many photo shoots. Currently working with a band, voice coach, make up artist and costume designers, for photo shoots and videos in the near future.
