Kathleen Mae is a writer and artist located in York Pennsylvania with a creative focus in photography, film, poetry, and fiction writing. Her photographic art consists of atmospheric landscapes, portraiture, black and white architecture, and fine details of her interaction with everyday objects.
Kat has developed her own visual vocabulary and inimitable style since first picking up a camera and pen 20 years ago. Visually her work melds art and prose creating a sense of immediacy, and both chaos and harmony, that we feel within our natural environment and lives. She encapsulates the world as a magical, fluid and invigorating panorama, exploring both the vibrant and sometimes bleak perspectives around us.
Her professional publications consist of art/creative director work for over 250+ websites, including work for the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, Discovering Cures Coalition, United Way Foundation, Pennsylvania Conference for Women, and House of The Good Shepherd. Photography work featured in Vogue Italia online and several local York City art gallery shows with work currently on display at the private gallery at York Traditions Bank’s corporate office. Her prose and poetry published in several editions of the Oxford University Press Literary Magazine, Windover, through Duke University.
Her favourite activities include hiking, camping, exploring quaint towns, and motorcycle rides, primarily in the greater York Pennsylvania area, which inspires her choice of subjects.
