I taught illustration for over 30 years at the Art Institute of York. I spend almost every day creating and thinking about art. Now with limited income, I try to produce ink drawings of faces and figures influenced by ancient times. I love watercolor and oil also. At 74, I work hard and usually have plenty of energy to produce. I love drawing and generate ideas through my many sketchbooks. My goal is to show fresh and unusual visions from every day images.I like to jolt the viewer and come up with drama and chiaroscuro in my work. I work with classical music and look to Hieronymus Bosch as my muse. Working in ink, I build form in a method similar to weaving.
